NUSMods Sync processes timetable information from NUSMods to provide cross-device syncing, multiple saved timetables, and friend timetable sharing.

When syncing or sharing is enabled, timetable information and related timetable metadata are encrypted locally before transmission to the NUSMods Sync relay. The relay receives encrypted data, random identifiers, hashed authorisation tokens, device identifiers, and update timestamps. It does not receive the encryption keys required to read timetable information.

NUSMods Sync does not collect account credentials, analytics, advertising identifiers, payment information, or browsing history outside NUSMods.

One-time pairing information expires after 10 minutes and is deleted when used. Encrypted inactive sync records are automatically removed according to the relay’s retention period. Revoking a friend share removes access to that share.
