Excellent autohide extension. I put all of my navigation icons on the menubar, so this extension is perfect. Also, it doesn't require the statusbar to be either hidden or available only when hovering over links like Pimpoflage does. I use the extended statusbar extension and there is information on the statusbar I use constantly. Hiding it constantly or making it appear only when hovering over a link to see it is unacceptable; if the statusbar is made to show when hovering over links, it causes the browser to freeze up when going down a list of links and clicking on each one. Under those circumstances, the browser is trying to process the show statusbar instruction while receiving a multitude of those instructions along with instructions to open the webpages on a tab at the same time, and this causes a significant degree of hesitation in the browser's operation. This freezing up does not occur with this extension due to the fact that the statusbar can be shown at all times, which is not possible with Pimpoflage, and all those extra instructions to show the statusbar do not interfere with the browsers normal operation. The only improvement I would suggest is to have a mouseout pixel measurement from the top of the window so users could set the number of pixels from the top where the menubar would go back into hiding.

It works perfectly and doesn't conflict with Tab Mix Plus' feature that forces new windows to become new tabs like Pimpoflage does. My only complaint is that the status bar should appear when I'm hovering over a link, so I know where the link goes...

disabling the titlebar is not possible, as this is specific to your operating system and not possible for an extension. it would theoretically be possible for firefox itself, but not for an extension.

FALSE, check out "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/12366"

Excellent!

It would be nice if it has a good looking button also. One that changes according to the current theme in use.

And I saw an option (in opera) to be able to press on the right side of this button and a drop down list of the main menu to appear (just an idea if you have time, I think it's good one).

Excellent add-on! As the author notes, this works fine with Firefox 3.5 if you set extensions.checkCompatibility to false.

This extension is excellent I no long need to use Hide Menubar and AutoHideStatusBar extension, that's one less extension to have to use. Now just add always hide titlebar option like in "Hide Caption Titlebar", Then this extension would need a 10 star rating not just 5.

Just what I needed now.
Perfect solution for me, as I like to have clean browser window with minimum distractions. And this add-on helps a lot.

This is an excellent extension; useful for netbooks and other small screens. It would be great if the shortcut has an option to permanently show the menu bar/status bar.

..

you can permanently show the bars with the key by disabling the autohiding stuff in the preferences. just set the first of the values to 0

i like it. but i can't access my bookmarks by Alt+B when menu is hidden and pressing one more key shortcut ( like Alt or sth) is a bit annoying. is it possible to make bookmarks accessible by Alt+B with hidden menu ?
