amy, what about 144p, that is lower res than your lowest Rated 1 out of 5 stars

would love to see an addon that would AUTOMATICALLY AND ALWAYS play videos at the absolute lowest res available, without having to click the icon to 144p even with your addon running.

Great if you find yourself clicking that resolution button in every video Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It does still work, now it just takes a while because of how Youtube handles definition changes. This is a must have. People who claim this to be malware are paranoid and/or have already real viruses on their computers.

Was GREAT...but doesn't work anymore. :-{ Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This was a time saving addon until it stopped working after updating Firefox to version 21.0. It might be YouTube's fault, don't really know.

Absolutely required Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I can't believe YouTube doesn't do this automatically. I have broadband and always want to watch 720p video.

It is not working Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I was activated addon bar and i was choice 240p quality. But everytime, i'm changing video quality on youtube (on video). Because it is not working. All videos are opening 360p everytime, but program setting is 240p. So, it is not working. Thanks.

Simple and does exactly what it should.
I don't get why people think something is a malware when it does not work it should

flashblock compatible? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Is it possible that you make it compatible with "flashblock"?

MALWARE. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This add-on crashed Firefox
repeatedly. Have managed to finally remove but still
having problems. My internet usage jumped up as soon as I installed this crap. Sponsor supported, yeah right, more like malware.

Probable Malware! Beware! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension is "sponsor supported" which immediately should bring up some warning signs. Had this extension together with the dictionary extension, those two alone, and after a few months it started to block access to mozilla.com, avg.com and several other sites. In addition I noticed an attempt to change legitimate ads with different ones from a shady source. I noticed that my computer tried to visit a site called IICM.com or something similar, but my host file caught it as advertising/malware and looped it back to local host. The extension also changed my About:Config settings, but resetting the associated settings for this "extension" or malware delivery system lifted restrictions to mentioned sites and stopped the attempts to access the shady site. Firefox is way faster with this extension deleted and configs restored. Don't download and for god's sake don't rate it five stars before you have tried it. Never would have downloaded this computer breaking crap if it weren't so decently rated. Get it together!

Press Ctrl+/ Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great Addon. Not sure what "enable marking" does but it works without it enabled.
Also it's working fine on https for me. Make sure you have add on bars enabled by pressing ctrl+/ or going options. If that doesn't work check your toolbar layout.

no hmtl5 support Rated 3 out of 5 stars

HMTL5 is the way of the future and even after a year of it being on youtube it looks like this wont support it

Doesn't work

Nice Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Just what I need. It's simple and unintrusive and works fine. UI could use a little work and sometimes it takes way too long to change the quality. I mean that browser starts to load wrong quality for while before the page updates.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works really well with my Firefox 13.0.1.
Couldn't be happier, this does exactly what it says on the tin.
If your preferred quality is, say, 1080p but the video is only available up to 720p, it will automatically play at 720 as it would be the closest you'd get.

An excellent plugin. It works on YouTube videos that support 480p 720p 1080p and beyond. If the video only has the option to be viewed in 280p or 320p then you're not going to see any difference.
