When I select a dial to open, I would like to have the option for it to open in a New Tab instead of needing to use a right click of the mouse. Other versions of Speed Dial include that option. With that option in the settings, you would have rated 5 stars. Please consider adding that to an updated version. Oh, yeah, when I select a new tab, the look is not the same.

✔️ Since version 26 you can now choose in what tab (current or new) to open sites from speed dial by default.
✔️ And since version 26 while opening a site in new tab it's now possible to either automatically switch to the opened tab or stay on the current tab.
✔️ Furthermore, to open sites in a new tab without opening the context menu you can use the standard browser functionality by pressing the mouse wheel or the middle mouse button.
✔️ You can also open all sites in a group in new tabs from the site group's menu.
