    Extremely useful and efficient, now I can save an image in it's original jpg or png format, instead of paying 2 conversions jpg-webp then webp-jpg. Should be the default when saving a jpg or png image.

    this is one of the most convenient and helpful add-on in the world, it made my life so much easier when using Reddit and is the sole reason I switched to Firefox.

    After using this add-on for a long time, I'm only giving it 3 stars, because it's very unclear to me, if it's actually accomplishing anything...? There are lots of sites that keep pushing webp and avif files, even when this add-on is in use, and it feels like the number of those sites is increasing, all the time.

    Unfortunately, this add-ons is only effective on sites that pay attention to the "Accept" header. Other users have identified certain sites that ignore the change made by this add-on, such as NexusMods and PlayStation. These sites either no longer support legacy browsers, or require a legacy user agent (such as Internet Explorer 11) before sending legacy media formats. For cases like that, you could consider using a converter. I have one here on the Add-ons site called "Save webP as PNG or JPEG."

    I am so annoyed by the webp format as someone who collects art references on the internet for private use, and no reference program supports webp. Webp is a scourge on the internet and I am glad this plugin exists.

    New version doesn't work anymore.
    Any picture I try to save from nexusmod is shown as webp.
    Ex https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24791
    Or more specifically: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1704/images/24791/24791-1554680316-435236928.png
    Clearly a png which is what I get from chrome. But FF gives me this crap webp even with this add-on

    Yes, the NexusMods site ignores the change made by this add-on. But for me, the .png file saved from Chrome is the same WEBP file -- with a .png extension.

    If you hear of any way to fool the site, I can try to implement it. Until then, when you are viewing the image in its own tab, you can get Firefox to download it as a PNG by using the built-in screenshot tool. Either right-click the blank area above/below the image > Take Screenshot, or use the keyboard shortcut (on Windows, Ctrl+Shift+S). Then move the mouse toward the upper left of the image and a dashed rectangle should appear around the image. Click to select the image, then click the Download button. The file name is a mess, but it will be a true PNG file.

    Hi, there is one new permission in version 0.9, the "management" permission, which allows checking the names of your installed add-ons and whether they are enabled or disabled.     This add-on now wants some very strange permissions. It is apparently to prevent conflict with another add-on but I don't see why these permissions are required for that. I'd be very cautious of this for the time being

    DO NOT INSTALL THIS PLUGIN. MASSIVE SECURITY RISK!

    This plugin recently changed the permissions it wants you to grant it to access ALL of your data used on websites. This means this plugin can now collect cookies, passwords, whatever it wants if it so chooses. The plugin creator "assures" you it's not collecting data, but there is simply no way to be sure. I heavily recommend deinstalling this plugin immediately. The plugin didn't need said massive security risking permissions to work before, and that it needs them now is extremely fishy. My personal guess is that the creator/s bank on people just updating the permissions without reading the permission changes, to then collect user data and sell it. So. DO. NOT. INSTALL.

    Actually, this add-on has ALWAYS needed and requested the "< all_urls >" permission in order to modify requests to websites. That is *not* new, but probably you have become more security-conscious since you originally installed it.     (What *is* new in version 0.9 is checking whether you have another add-on known to have a conflict with this one.)

    For what it's worth, I still have no interest whatsoever in what you are doing in your Firefox, and there's no way for me to know because this add-on still doesn't send me any data. If you don't believe me, then don't use the add-on.

    Works great and as advertised, but I have a weird bug where the webp images do not load, kind of annoying unfortunately.

    EDIT: Nevermind the bug was my own fault not the add-on's.
