All I wanted to block was Facebook to stop my procrastination and this add on kept blocking other sites that I needed to view despite not specifically adding them to the block list. Removed...

THE BEST of LO MEJOR!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

it's the best tool to block those urls that u dont want to see then you are browsing at internet.

La mejor herramienta para bloquear esos sitios web que no deseas ver cuando navegas por internet. Buenisimo para bloquear la publicidad basura.

Excelente Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Era justo lo que necesitaba. En un script todos los navegadores se me bloqueaban en una página externa que dejó de funcionar.
Con este Addon pude entrar filtrando sin problemas ese link y rescaté todo el trabajo. Cumple con su función.
Gracias! Thank you!

Acho que o único defeito é que não consegue impedir a janela/separador de abrir, de resto é espetacular, uso este add-on para bloquear todos os sites de publicidade. Recomendo :D

I did not experience any issues with adds being inserted in any way. I do however use various blockers and may not notice things being removed.
I have noticed that it will not block on.aol.com Perhaps because it is an odd URL. Perhaps someone knows a special way to insert this URL in the block list? Or is it a bug?....
Overall works well. Necessary for Stumble Upon.

On the basis of the reviews here, I uninstalled this and I'm trying "Leech Block" instead. Unlike this add on, that one doesn't seem to block embedded videos but that's not a big deal.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I Used this add-on earlier for some time.

Suddenly and without notice I got all kinds of lock-up problems without any change to computer.

A restore without this add-on (but with the other previous add-ons) is proof enough -> This thing is MALWARE.

I think it's really good.

This IS malware - steer clear! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I can't speak to how well it blocks pages, but it litters pages (eg. Microsoft's support site, which does not have ads) with extra ads, opens pop-ups, and redirects searches and typed URLs to pages of its own choosing. Save yourself a lot of grief, and don't bother with this nuisance. I disabled the extension on a friend's machine, and Firefox once again became useable. Apparently, Wips.com extensions and apps also monitor and transmit info back to their servers on the pages you visit, so it is also a security/privacy threat - see http://www.ghacks.net/2013/01/13/how-companies-take-advantage-of-mozillas-addon-repository/ for example.

This add-on is so helpful, you have no idea how much. But I accidentally blocked Youtube and I can't unblock it - I don't know how or this add-on doesn't have the feature to unblock sites. PLEASE HELP ASAP

MALWARE BY ITSELF Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Beware this addon is a malware by itself. It does block sites in your list but it redirects you on ad websites randomly when you click on an url. Extension Defender reports it as a malware and it is true. I have no more problems since I deleted this junck.
Méfiez vous c'est un malware par lui même, je n'ai plus de problème depuis que je l'ai supprimé.

Just a suggestion: can you make it to actually block the tab? I mean now it's blocking only the site but the tab still opens. It's a half job, after a while I have 10 empty tabs opened.

It works for me Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Just installed on Firefox 31 and it works great.

Would it be possible in the future to make it automatically close blank tabs opened for blocked sites?

Appreciate the add-on.

sucked Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I specially logged back in here just to have a say about this crap app - its pops up a shitty reminder to say wtf its doing - when in actuality this addon is more annoying than the god damn ads themselves

Good - But could close the blocked site tab. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Wips should ring an alarm bell. If you decide to try this out, we warned that Wips likes to configure their data collection as opt-out and hide the option. Do make sure you open about:config after installation, filter on wips and turn all *stats_permission* booleans off. I wouldn't bet on these settings being respected, though. You might be better off using a hosts file, be sure to include api.wips.com!

I would not recommend it until performance problems are fixed Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Using Block Site caused my memory usage to sky rocket to over 2.2 gig and my computer slowed to a snail's pace. I have left feedback for the developers. I hope they fix it because it sounds like a good idea.
