Hi,

You are probably referring to our Acceptable Ads program.

In this program, websites are permited to show certain ads on the page. However, those ads have to be produced according to a series of criterias (ie. not animated, non-intrusive, cannot block content, etc). Websites have to apply join the program and are judged by a committee. This ensures that all pages follow the criteria established. 

User can chose to opt-out from seeing Acceptable Ads at any time in their ABP settings.

    Extension that is supposed to block popups creates popups to offer it's premium subscription.

    On Youtube I got the message of free trial expiring and "some of the video ads" might show up. At the same time (at the time of the writing the review) on extension page screenshots area they claim "Adblock Plus blocks all video ads on Youtube!". It doesn't even have disclaimer on extension page that "some of the features are only working with 'Premium' subscription".

    That all despite having "Allow Adblock Plus to show occasional promotional messages" unchecked.

    I have been using this extension for many many years, ever since it was launched. This stopped today when i was prompted that "my free trial expired" and that i need to upgrade to have access to "premium features". So i now switched to ublock origin, which i encourage all of you to do. Shame on you for doing a bait and switch after so many years.

    Isn't the whole point about adblock not to pay for ads?
    today adblock prompted me to become a premium user for 4$ a month in order to "enjoy an ad-less youtube" and said i have 3 more days of delicious ad-less youtube.
    why shouldn't i just pay youtube?
    i'm sorry i'm out.

    I used this extension since 2019 and was always so satisfied that I recommended it to others. About 2 years ago, they started taking me off pages telling me to donate. This happened often. It was annoying. Then they started bombarding me with pop ups to buy their Premium service. Then they stopped blocking ads on Pinterest. I reported this for more than a week. Despite continually asking for donations and hyping Premium, they never fixed the Pinterest problem. I switched to AdGuard and I'm very happy. No begging for donations, no ads for paid service and it works perfectly. Bye bye AdBlock Plus...FOREVER

    L ho usato per tanti anni, ultimamente non sta più funzionando bene, adesso mi chiedono di fare upgrade per far si che funzioni bene... non mi fido molto

    You shouldn't be seeing ads, regardless if you pay for Premium or not. If you are suddenly seeing ads, please try the steps in this article: https://help.adblockplus.org/hc/en-us/articles/23213105628691-What-to-do-if-you-are-seeing-ads. If those steps don't help, please use the link in the article to reach out to us and we'll be happy to continue assisting you.

    Since today, ABP completely blocks any connectivity in Firefox and I have to completely disable it if I want to use Firefox for anything. Firefox is fully updated and so is ABP. only disabling ABP fixes it.

    I've been using it for years and I could not complain. Now I've removed it with the first ad asking me to become a premium user. There is a plenty of other AdBlock solutions. You failed it ABP ;)

    For non-Premium users, our payment page displays when we update the extension to keep you informed on changes we've made and as a reminder to consider upgrading to Premium. There is no obligation to upgrade and you can dismiss the page by clicking the "x" on the browser tab. You can also disable this page by going to the Advanced tab on your ABP settings and unchecking the box next to "Allow Adblock Plus to show occasional promotional messages."

    Mutes Youtube video constantly, makes the "ARE YOU STILL THERE?" popup appear EVERY VIDEOS, SEND ADD SO YOU PAY THEM FOR AN APP THAT DOESN'T WORK.
    Who thought putting ADDS in an ADD BLOCKER was a good idea? Fire that retard lmaoo

    A extensão é muito boa e combada com o uBlock Origin ou solo, ela é muito boa, de verdade e também achei fofo os desenvolvedores, me darem um teste grátis (nem sei se ele está funcionando), mas enfim só para falar que essa extensão é muito boa!!

    Getting ads from an ad blocker is absolutely preposterous. Also doesn't block half of the ads I want it to in the first place. Look for an alternative.

    Судячи з тої кількості сайтів різного ступеня сумнівності, на які я іноді заходжу і які жалібно просять мене вимкнути AdBlock, та ті тонни реклами, які я бачу на тих же сайтах в іншому бравзері без AdBlock, я цілком впевнений, що цей застосунок працює, і працює справно. Власне, це мені від нього треба і це мені в ньому подобається.
