YT Profile Picker adds a "Who's watching?" screen to YouTube for users signed in with multiple Google accounts. YouTube provides no native profile switcher, so opening a link under the wrong account is a common frustration. This extension solves that: whenever you open youtube.com or YouTube Music from the address bar, a bookmark, or an external link, a picker screen appears showing your signed-in accounts. Select one, and the same page loads under that account.

HOW IT WORKS

Google natively supports multiple signed-in accounts within a single browser session. The extension simply appends the correct account parameter to your YouTube navigation. It does not use containers, does not juggle cookies, and does not modify anything else in your browser.

FEATURES

1. Picker appears when opening YouTube with two or more signed-in accounts.
2. Full keyboard support: number keys 1-4 select directly, arrow keys navigate, Enter confirms, Esc skips "Last used" and "Current" badges for clarity.
3. In-site navigation never triggers the picker unless explicitly enabled.
4. Silent mode: load your default account automatically and use the toolbar popup as a one-click switcher.
5. Optional background refresh of the account list (10 minutes to 1 hour), which can be disabled entirely
   Private windows are never affected.

PRIVACY

The extension contains no analytics, no tracking, and sends no data anywhere. It interacts only with youtube.com and google.com pages, and detects accounts solely from your existing signed-in session. It never accesses your passwords.

SETUP

Sign in to your additional Google accounts on youtube.com (profile icon, then Switch account, then Add account) within the same Firefox profile. The extension detects them automatically.

NOTE

Google's anti-automation systems may occasionally display a CAPTCHA on youtube.com. Solving it once in your browser restores normal behavior.
