War Era Codex is a fan-made, local-first browser extension. We believe your data belongs to you, and we adhere to a strict no-tracking, no-collection policy.
1. Data Collection and Transmission
War Era Codex does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or user information.
2. Local Storage Usage
The extension uses chrome.storage.local to store your WarEra API token entirely on your own device. This token is saved so you do not have to re-enter it every session. It never leaves your device except when sent directly to WarEra's official API domains (api2.warera.io through api6.warera.io) to process the data exports you actively initiate.
3. Infrastructure & Files
No External Servers: No data is sent to any server owned, operated, or rented by the developer of this extension.
No Tracking: The extension includes zero analytics, tracking scripts, or telemetry of any kind.
Local File Generation: All compiled files (articles, maps, feeds, and reports) are generated directly inside your browser and saved to your device. They are never uploaded or backed up to any cloud server by this extension.
4. Image Fetching
Images embedded in downloaded files are fetched directly from the content domains used by WarEra (such as Imgur, Giphy, and media.warera.io). These connections are made purely to embed the images into your local file, and are never proxied or routed through any third-party server.
5. Policy Changes
We may update this policy to reflect future technical modifications to the extension or updates to the Chrome Web Store Developer Policy. Any changes will be posted directly to this page and will take effect immediately.
