Video Lister од Jakub Majcher

Video Lister lists the video on the page you are looking at. One click on the toolbar icon, and you get every mp4, webm and ogg file it can find, plus any adaptive stream.

Where it looks:
• video and source elements, and ordinary links
• inside the page markup, where players built in JavaScript keep their manifest URL in an inline script or a data attribute, out of reach of any selector

The add-on works out a sensible title for each file by itself, so the list reads like
names rather than URLs.

A DASH or HLS manifest is a playlist, and opening one in a tab downloads a page of XML. Those rows are plain text instead of links. Copy the link into VLC or mpv and they will play it. Saving one to disk takes a second step, because these formats keep the picture and the sound in separate files. The button next to a stream copies a yt-dlp command that fetches both and joins them.

Permissions:
• activeTab reads the page, and only after you click the icon
• scripting injects the scanner on that click
• clipboardWrite serves the copy buttons

There is no background script, so nothing runs on pages you never scan. The add-on makes no requests of its own and collects no data.
