TheBrain Quick Thoughts: Privacy Policy
Quick Thoughts sends what you write to your own TheBrain account, and nothing else leaves your browser.
What is sent, and when
Only when you click Send (or when a note waiting offline is sent later):
• The note you wrote.
• The address and title of the current page, if you keep it as a link on the note.
During pairing, the extension also sends a device label ("TheBrain extension on Firefox") so you can recognize it in your account settings.
Everything goes over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to TheBrain's servers (thebrain.com), and only to the account you connected.
What is not collected
• The extension doesn't read the content of the pages you visit. It looks at the current page's address and title only when you open the extension.
• It doesn't track your browsing history, and has no ads, analytics or usage statistics.
• Nothing is sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
What is stored in your browser
Your connection to your account, your settings, an unsent draft, and any notes waiting to be sent while you're offline. Removing the extension deletes them.
Keeping and deleting your notes
Notes stay in the Quick Thoughts inbox in your TheBrain account until you file or delete them. Deleted notes are removed from our servers within 30 days. Notes you file into a brain become part of that brain.
To disconnect, use Disconnect on the extension's options page, or remove its access under Capture Devices in your account settings at app.thebrain.com.
