StaleTabs automatically manages your open tabs by discarding and closing ones you haven't used in a while. Keep your browser lean without losing your session.

Features:

• Auto-discard — Unloads inactive tabs from memory after a configurable timeout (default: 2 hours). The tab stays visible in your tab bar and reloads when you click it.
• Auto-close — Closes tabs that have been inactive past a second, longer timeout (default: 24 hours), freeing up tab bar space.
• Max tab threshold — When you exceed a set number of tabs, the least-used ones are closed first, keeping your tab bar manageable.
• Access count tracking — Tabs you visit frequently are protected from auto-closing. The extension tracks how often you switch to each tab and only closes tabs with few visits.
• Exclusion list — Never auto-close specific sites (e.g., *://mail.google.com/*). Supports wildcard patterns.
• Pinned & audible tab protection — Pinned tabs and tabs playing audio are never touched.
• Configurable timeouts — Set separate discard and close intervals, check frequency, and tab count thresholds.
• All data stays local — No data is collected or transmitted. Everything is stored in your browser's local storage.
