Slow Down Extension Privacy Policy

The Slow Down extension lets you slow down, transpose and loop YouTube videos, and change the key of videos in the Slow Down practice app (slowdownpractice.com). The full policy is at https://slowdownpractice.com/extension-privacy.

Audio
The extension changes the sound of the YouTube video you're watching inside the page, with the Web Audio API, only when you turn on transpose, fine tune, vocals or volume. That audio is processed in real time on your device. It is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

Data on your device
The extension stores, with the browser's storage API, your sound settings and, if you connect it to your Slow Down account, an access token for that account and your name to show you're connected.

Data sent to Slow Down
Nothing is sent before you connect the extension to your Slow Down account. Once connected, it sends the Slow Down server the id of the YouTube video you have open, to show whether it's in your library, and saves to your account what you ask it to: adding the video, its speed, markers, loops and practice time. You can disconnect from the panel or from your Slow Down profile at any time.

Third parties
The extension talks only to the Slow Down server. It has no analytics, no tracking, and never sells or shares data.
