ReadControl is a read-later app for macOS, and this extension is its Save button. Click it on any page and the article lands in your ReadControl app. It clears away the ads, banners, and pop-ups.

Everything you save stays on your own computer, so you can open it whenever you want, even offline. No account, no sign-up, no servers. It's free and open-source.

WHAT IT DOES
• Save any page in one click, from the toolbar, the right-click menu, or a keyboard shortcut
• Cleans the page automatically, removing ads, navigation, and clutter while keeping the main content
• Works on JavaScript-rendered and logged-in pages, not just simple articles
• Saves images locally, so your article is complete and fully offline
• Saves directly to the app on your machine. Nothing leaves your computer

BEFORE YOU INSTALL
This extension needs the free ReadControl macOS app to save into. Download it at readcontrol.app. Without the app installed, the extension has nothing to save to.

PRIVACY
ReadControl reads a page only when you ask it to save one. The page content goes straight to the app on your own machine, never to a server. No tracking, no analytics, no account.
