О овом додатку
RamRatio is a lightweight Firefox memory optimizer designed to reduce resource usage when many tabs are open, while keeping important tabs available and protecting active browsing workflows.
Instead of simply suspending tabs on a fixed timer, RamRatio uses adaptive optimization to decide which inactive tabs are safest to unload and when they should remain untouched.
Core features
- Adaptive tab suspension for inactive tabs
- Predictive cleanup ranking for safer optimization decisions
- Session and workspace intelligence
- Active Firefox tab-group protection
- Per-window pressure awareness
- Sleeping-tab manager with individual and bulk wake controls
- Undo Last Cleanup
- Protected-site rules
- Adaptive per-site learning
- Outcome self-tuning based on quick tab reopens
- Mobile and Tablet optimization profiles
- Energy-aware scheduling
- Automatic pressure cleanup when large numbers of tabs remain loaded
- Clear explanations for why tabs are selected for optimization
Designed to avoid disruption
RamRatio protects active, pinned, audible, highlighted, loading, attention-requesting, browser-protected, and recently used tabs before optimization is considered.
Active workspaces and tab groups can also receive temporary protection so tabs related to your current task remain available while you work.
RamRatio's adaptive tuning is intentionally conservative. If recently suspended tabs are repeatedly reopened, RamRatio can increase their effective idle time. It never reduces your configured timeout to become more aggressive.
Privacy
RamRatio operates locally inside Firefox.
It does not send your browsing history, page contents, adaptive-learning information, tab activity, or optimization analytics to external servers.
Performance
RamRatio uses an indexed tab-state cache and event-driven architecture to minimize expensive full-browser tab scans. Optimization state is updated incrementally as Firefox tab events occur.
RamRatio is designed for users who regularly keep many tabs open and want Firefox to use fewer resources without manually closing their working session.

The extension focuses on reducing unnecessary resource use by safely suspending eligible inactive tabs while protecting active workflows, pinned tabs, audible/media tabs, loading tabs, protected sites, and recently used tabs.
Current versions include:
- Adaptive tab suspension
- Predictive cleanup ranking
- Per-window pressure awareness
- Session/workspace intelligence
- Active tab-group protection
- Sleeping-tab recovery controls
- Undo Last Cleanup
- Adaptive site learning
- Conservative outcome self-tuning
- Mobile and Tablet profiles
- Incremental tab-state caching to reduce expensive full-browser scans
Privacy:
RamRatio does not transmit browsing history, page contents, search terms, site-learning data, or tab activity to external servers. Adaptive behavior and optimization statistics remain local unless a future optional telemetry feature is explicitly enabled by the user.
Performance design:
RamRatio uses event-driven tab-state tracking and incremental cache updates rather than repeatedly querying all open tabs. Safety checks are revalidated before suspension so predictive ranking never overrides protected-tab rules.
The project is actively maintained under RatioWorks with regression testing focused on tab safety, storage compatibility, performance, and update stability.
