   Chained is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or track your personal browsing history.

3. Pairing Codes: Temporary 6-digit random numeric codes generated to establish a WebSocket pairing between you and your accountability partner.
4. Policy Rules: Rule configurations (such as restricted domains, schedules, and break requests) exchanged between paired partners.
5. In-Memory Relaying: All pairing exchanges sent through the relay server are held in volatile memory (RAM) only for the duration of the active session. No user accounts, passwords, or website URLs are permanently stored in a database on the server.
6. Local Storage
   Your configured partner state, active rules, pending break requests, and temporary unlock timers are stored locally on your device using the browser extension storage API. This data remains on your machine and is never shared with third parties.
7. Third-Party Services
   The relay service is hosted on Render. Render maintains standard infrastructure server access logs (such as IP addresses and connection timestamps) strictly for security, uptime, and network operation purposes.
8. Data Deletion
   You can delete all stored data at any time by clearing your settings in the extension popup or by uninstalling the extension.
