Caspian - AI Chat, Youtube & Other improvements од NigelWeb

Caspian is a lightweight extension built to solve everyday browser frustrations: sluggish AI chats, rigid video playback controls, cluttered YouTube feeds, and clunky screenshots. Everything runs entirely locally on your machine with zero tracking.

What Caspian Does:

1. Eliminates Typing Lag in Long AI Chats
Long sessions on ChatGPT and Google Gemini can make your browser stutter and freeze because the page keeps hundreds of rendered messages in the DOM. Caspian automatically unloads off-screen messages while keeping your full chat history safe. When you scroll back up, your messages restore instantly—leaving your typing fast and responsive.
2. Universal Video and Audio Speed Engine
Control playback speed across any HTML5 video or audio player on the web—including YouTube, Reddit, Netflix, Twitch, Coursera, and custom Web Component players.
   • Alt + S: Instantly switch between normal speed (1.0x) and your preferred fast speed
   • Alt + D: Cycle through your saved speed presets
   • ] and [: Adjust speed up or down in 0.25x steps
   • Comes with a subtle, non-intrusive floating HUD and toolbar badge.
3. Focused YouTube Homepage
Tame recommendation loops and reduce distraction on YouTube:
   • Limit the number of recommended videos on your homepage (3, 6, 9, 12, or custom limits).
   • Adds a quick "Not Interested" button directly on video thumbnails so you do not have to click through nested dropdown menus.
4. Save & Export Temporary Chats
   • Turn temporary or guest ChatGPT chats into permanent saved threads in your account history with one click.
   • Export full chat transcripts into Markdown (.md), Plain Text (.txt), Word (.doc), or formatted HTML/PDF with code blocks and math formulas intact.
5. Full-Page Screenshot & Annotation Studio
Capture clean, high-resolution scrolling screenshots of entire web pages without sticky navbars repeating or breaking. Includes a built-in canvas studio to crop, draw arrows, add text, highlight, or blur sensitive information before downloading to PNG, JPG, or PDF.

Privacy & Permissions:
Caspian is 100% client-side. It does not collect analytics, track your browsing, or communicate with external servers. Your chats, media, and screenshots never leave your browser.
