ScrollPlay ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our browser extension.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

ScrollPlay operates entirely locally on your device. We do not:
- Collect any personal information
- Track your browsing activity
- Send data to external servers
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Share data with third parties

Local Storage

ScrollPlay uses your browser's local storage to save your preferences:
- Scroll Speed: Your preferred scrolling speed (1-200 pixels per second)
- Default Direction: Your preferred scroll direction (up or down)
- Active State: Whether scrolling is currently active (for UI state)

This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear this data at any time by:
- Using the "Reset to Defaults" button in the settings page
- Clearing your browser's extension storage

Third-Party Services

ScrollPlay uses Google Fonts to load custom fonts (Handjet and Nabla) for the user interface. When the extension loads, it may request font files from Google's servers. This is a standard web request and Google's privacy policy applies to their font service. We do not share any personal information with Google Fonts.

Note: The font requests are made directly from your browser to Google's servers. We do not intercept or process this data.

Permissions Explanation

ScrollPlay requires the following permissions:

• activeTab: Allows the extension to inject scrolling functionality into the currently active tab
• storage: Allows the extension to save your scroll speed preference locally
• scripting: Allows the extension to inject the scrolling script into web pages
• contextMenus: Allows the extension to add items to the right-click context menu
• host_permissions (Google Fonts): Allows the extension to load custom fonts from Google Fonts

Children's Privacy

ScrollPlay does not knowingly collect information from children. Our extension is intended for general use and does not require user registration or any personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
