Facebook removes the EXIF metadata from a photo when it is uploaded. A photo you save has no date and no record of its source. ReStamp writes that information back.

How to use it:
1. Right-click a photo on Facebook.
2. Select "Save photo with date".
3. Check the date and details in the dialog. Correct them if needed.
4. Save. The photo downloads as a JPEG with the metadata written in.

What it writes:
- The post date. You confirm it before saving.
- The uploader, in the Artist field.
- The caption or tagged location, in the Image Description field.
- The source link and the Facebook photo id.
- A "Facebook" keyword tag.

A WebP photo is converted to JPEG first.

The extension runs in your browser. It sends nothing to any server. It collects no data about you.

The date is the day the photo was posted. This is not always the day the photo was taken. Check the date before you save.
