PsychArch Reader for Firefox privacy information
When you click the toolbar button, the extension extracts the selected article locally and sends its title and Markdown content to your private PsychArch Reader library, hosted on Cloudflare. It does not continuously monitor browsing and does not operate in private windows.
PsychArch Auth handles sign-in and authorization. The extension stores OAuth access and refresh tokens and your settings in local extension storage, never Firefox Sync. Capture scripts do not receive authentication tokens. Account name and email are obtained from Auth for display in settings. Signing out clears local token state and requests token revocation; local state is cleared even if Auth cannot be reached.
Jina Reader fallback is off by default. Enabling it requests optional access to https://r.jina.ai/. When local extraction fails for an eligible public HTTPS article, the extension can send the original page URL, including any query parameters, to Jina Reader. Jina fetches the page and returns text for upload to Reader. PsychArch tokens are not sent to Jina. Use this option only for public articles. Saved content expires after the retention period you choose: one hour, one day, three days, or seven days. Signing out does not immediately delete saved articles or downloaded copies.
