Parlance stores your Parlance API key locally in the browser and transmits it to the Parlance API (https://api.parlancelabs.net) to authenticate your requests.

When you choose to audit a page, the extension reads that page's content and sends the resulting audit (which may include page content such as text and element details) to your Parlance project. Audits run only when you trigger them.

Parlance does not collect browsing history, does not run in the background, and does not sell or share your data with third parties.
