FuzeVPN Add-on Privacy Policy
FuzeVPN is operated by Steven Jorisse, a sole proprietor. The add-on protects the browser’s web traffic by routing it through a FuzeVPN HTTPS proxy. It does not protect other applications on the device.
Account and device information
Signing in sends your email address and password to https://api.fuzevpn.com over HTTPS. The add-on does not store your password. It stores the session token, minimal profile information and subscription information needed to provide the service locally. The add-on does not collect payment card numbers.
Device registration sends the device name, identifier and public key. The private key remains locally on your device.
Traffic and IP address
When protection is active, destination information and web traffic are transmitted to the proxy for routing. The add-on does not maintain a browsing history or read page content. For HTTPS websites, content remains encrypted between the browser and the website.
The IP address display uses api.ipify.org or api64.ipify.org. This third-party service receives the IP address of the connection being used. The add-on does not send it account identifiers, tokens, cookies or browsing history. The displayed IP address is kept only in memory.
Local preferences
Language, settings, locations, favorites and manually excluded domains are stored locally. Excluded domains are not sent to FuzeVPN or ipify. These preferences remain available after signing out and are deleted when the add-on is uninstalled.
Optional diagnostics
Diagnostics help resolve operational problems. They may contain software and browser versions, technical system information, connection states, verification results and errors.
Automatic reporting is disabled by default. Sending a full report requires individual consent and an explicit send action. In Firefox, transmission also requires the optional permission for technical data collection. Withdrawing this permission suspends transmissions while allowing local reports to remain available for viewing and export.
Authorized reports are sent only to https://api.fuzevpn.com/v1/diagnostics. Report contents exclude passwords, tokens, IP addresses, visited URLs, excluded domains and page content. Requests are authenticated, so a transmitted report can be associated with the account.
Local technical history is limited to 200 events over ten minutes. Drafts and reports awaiting transmission are stored locally for up to twenty-four hours. Deleting a local report does not delete a copy already received by the service.
Purpose and user rights
The add-on processes data to provide protection, manage the account and support users. It contains no advertising or advertising trackers.
