Join any call on Google Meet.
Turn on captions by clicking the CC button (or press c on your keyboard).
The toolbar icon will display a red REC badge indicating live recording.
Click the CaptionRecorder icon in the toolbar (or open your Firefox Sidebar) to follow the live transcript, view speaker turns, and export in your preferred format.

storage: Buffers your ongoing meeting transcript in local storage to prevent data loss if a call drops or a tab reloads.
tabs: Synchronizes the sidebar transcript viewer with the active Google Meet tab.
meet.google.com/*: Reads closed caption elements displayed during active meetings.

The extension is built with TypeScript and WXT (Next-gen Web Extension Framework powered by Vite/Rollup).

Environment requirements:
- Node.js: 20+ (tested on Node 20, 22, 24)
- npm: 10+

Steps to reproduce the build:
1. Extract caption-recorder-1.1.0-sources.zip
2. Run npm ci to install exact dependencies from package-lock.json
3. Run npm run build:firefox to build the Firefox Manifest V3 extension
4. The output will be located in .output/firefox-mv3/

To package the distribution zip:
- Run npm run zip:firefox
- The packaged zip will be located in .output/caption-recorder-1.1.0-firefox.zip
