BirdTab does not collect your name, email address, browsing history, the sites you visit or what you search for. Your settings stay in Firefox's extension storage.
Bird photos, sounds and species lists are downloaded from media.birdtab.app. Top sites are read from Firefox only if you turn them on, and stay on your device.
Usage statistics (PostHog, stored in the EU) and error reports (Sentry) are sent only if you allow "technical and interaction data" when installing BirdTab. You can change this at any time in Firefox's add-on settings. They carry a random installation ID, never your name or email.
When you remove BirdTab, Firefox opens a page on birdtab.app that records the removal with that random ID and lets you leave optional feedback.
