ACCOUNT & AUTHENTICATION
You sign in with your existing VortexDQ account. Your password is never stored in the extension. After login, only a session token is kept — encrypted with AES-256-GCM in your browser's local storage. Tokens expire every 3 hours and rotate automatically. The old token is invalidated server-side the moment a new one is issued.

DATA COLLECTED

Email + password: sent to vortexdq.com/ext/login at login only, never stored in the extension
Session token: stored locally in encrypted form only, sent as a Bearer token to vortexdq.com
AI messages + optional page snippet: sent to vortexdq.com/ext/ai when you actively send a message, not stored after the response is returned
Reported URL: sent to vortexdq.com/ext/report only when you click "Report Site"
Domain name (phishing check): never transmitted — checked against a locally cached list only
Macro recordings: never transmitted — stored in your browser only
DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
Browsing history, passwords, form contents, cookies, or any personally identifying information beyond your VortexDQ account email.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
AI responses are generated via the Groq API. Messages are forwarded by vortexdq.com under our API agreement. No data is sent to OpenAI, Google, or any other provider directly.

YOUR CONTROLS

Disable AI page context: toggle Privacy Mode (lock icon) in the chat widget
Disable AI chat: turn off "AI Chat Widget" in Settings
Disable phishing protection: turn off "Anti-Phishing" in Settings
Delete macro recordings: Macro tab → ✕ button
Remove all data: sign out or uninstall the extension
DATA RETENTION
AI messages are not stored after the response. Session tokens expire after 3 hours and are deleted from the server after 24 hours. Site reports are kept up to 90 days then deleted.
