I can understand making new features and putting them behind a subscription(even If I don't have to like it.) But to take existing free features and then put them behind a paywall is just nasty work not gonna lie.

The favorites limitation on the free tier is 5 and has been so for almost two and a half years now, users that installed their extension client prior to those two and a half years were not affected by this limitation and were grandfathered in (a reinstall is considered a new client).

I work on this extension by myself on my free time. a lot of time and effort goes into this, occasionally long nights and days, and thousands of lines of code. the favorites/cats feature is one of the more complicated features in the extensions. i could just make features for myself without even spending the egregious amount of time to make it production worthy but here we are. i understand that this might be a point of conflict but without subscriptions the extension as a whole would not have existed by now (est. feb 2020)

Like so many other Firefox extensions these days this one also tries to corner you into paying a fee for continued use. After you hover over a certain number of clips a pop up will tell you you have hit your limit and need to subscribe to continue watching them.

This paid requirement is not mentioned anywhere on the addons.mozilla page for this extension. You do see a gold subscribe button in a couple screenshots but that's it. This is a shady extension and there are better ones out there that don't force you into a paid subscription to use.
