— iamc24, pred 4 mesecionly works when a video is loaded from an already loaded youtube page. for example, if i open a video in a new tab, load a video from a google result, or reload the page, it just doesn't work. the only work around is to click the youtube homepage button and then click the browser back button to reload the video, which lets it work again.

However, most of the time no controls show up and it's nonfunctional (reinstalled, cleared cache, did all the usual troubleshooting). Not worth keeping around on the off chance that it'll do what it's supposed to do on a given day.
