The crippling issue rendering the extension totally unusable seems to have been fixed - the extension version that seems to work OK again as I write this is 2025.7.1.
I am changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars - but not 5 stars, as the previous issue is cause for concern - maybe it could break again. Also the UI / UX has become worse in my opinion in recent redisigns - more clicks to do the same thing as before, and often clicks do not do what I expected.

Trying to use the Bitwarden Extension in August 2025, it caused Firefox to freeze for 10+ second for any operation, and the extension didn't even work - trying to fill in a password would just cause a 15+seconds freeze, and after that the password was not even filled. Disabling the Bitwarden extension caused Firefox to become lightning fast again as usual, immediately, so this was really a problem with the Bitwarden extension. This is totally unusable and unacceptable, and very sad as Bitwarden is a great service. The extension worked perfectly the last time I used it a few months ago, so this is a new issue (in the meantime I was using the Windows App, which works fine). I really hope this will get fixed quickly.

Integration does not work at all and the team does not know how to fix it. Unprofessional paid service, I am not going to prolong my subscription.

I used this for a long while and still have the app, but the extension's disabled. It reliably fails to unlock the vault, it just loops back to the unlock prompt without even a password field. But at least it's not actively harmful.

For some time now, when entering the PIN in Bitwarden, the input is cleared before it can be confirmed. Only after entering the PIN a second time does it remain stable and allow confirmation. This issue occurs in both Firefox and Chromium browsers; I have not tested others. Bug or a security problem? It leaves me with an uneasy feeling

works reasonably well but has a lot of annoying bugs that just seem to be getting worse over time. recently my biggest annoyance right now is that when I enter my PIN it sometimes doesn't register all key presses or sometimes just straight up deletes some of them for some reason.

Love Bitwarden. Please add Customizable vault item templates and Additional Pre-defined item types (like Wifi passwords, SSH, database connections, etc.) Proton Pass implements them elegantly, and I would love to see these features come to Bitwarden.

Overall a good addon, but I have an issue when entering the PIN code – it suddenly deletes the text and I have to type it again. Bug ??

Generally a very good password manager, but a flaky add-on. I rely on Touch ID a lot and the add-on has had a bug for a very long time where Firefox full screen on macOS will be knocked out of fullscreen when you Touch ID. Also, the biometrics very rarely work first time after a reboot. Minor annoyances add up for something as frequently used as a password manager.

The Bitwarden extension in Firefox version 115.33.0esr (64-bit) on Windows 7 64-bit installs but doesn't work. When clicking the "Bitwarden" icon on the extensions panel, the popup window appears and the loading circles spin indefinitely. The Bitwarden website logs in and works normally, but the extension does not work. For Google Chrome browser, the Bitwarden extension works correctly. Please fix the bug in Firefox. How to reproduce the problem? Uninstall the Bitwarden extension from Firefox — restart the browser — reinstall the Bitwarden extension — and it does not work.
