Dopamine Fast — Arturo

Dopamine Fast helps you use social networks deliberately without replacing them or copying their content.
Before a supported feed opens, the extension adds a configurable pause, shows today’s time spent on each network, and asks how long you intend to stay. During the session, a visible countdown tracks the chosen block and posts are revealed in finite batches. Reaching the end requires a deliberate action before more posts appear.
Separate daily limits for time and posts apply to Reddit, X/Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Preferences and aggregate usage counters are stored only in the browser.
Platform-specific controls include:
optional Following-only feeds on X and Instagram;
intentional search on X and Reddit, with discovery suggestions suppressed;
isolation of directly opened Instagram Reels from the endless Reels feed;
removal of YouTube Shorts;
an optional YouTube Subscriptions-only mode;
removal of related and next-video recommendations on YouTube;
best-effort suppression of promoted and suggested content;
media autoplay prevention.
Dopamine Fast works directly on the authenticated websites you already visit. It does not use platform APIs, copy posts, read private messages, access cookies, run analytics or transmit browsing activity to a backend.
Direct profiles, messages, settings, searches and explicitly opened content remain available. Because social-network interfaces change frequently, some platform-specific controls may require updates over time.
