- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Freeroamer696, pred 2 mesecemaUnfortunately this ext has been unusable of late(2/25/24). Firefox (on more than 1 occasion) suggested I disable it to improve performance. Slows down site loading, freezes and missing items are a constant now. If it returns to it's previous functionality I would happily reinstall as it was great, but until then, it has to go for my browser to remain functional. Hope a fix is incoming....

- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Leo, pred 2 mesecemaVery useful but its really affecting Firefox's performance with its resource demands!
This is the second time I installed and uninstalled it because I noticed how much it kept slowing down Firefox! - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Athanasios, pred 2 mesecemaIt doesn't remember what color you chose or new theme created
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 15258288, pred 3 meseciworked great in edge but in firefox it always flickers and messes up ui in many pages like facebook messenger
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 18268214, pred 3 meseciAlmost doubles Firefox's CPU usage. It was causing stuttering on a stream I was watching. Awful performance, isn't worth what it does.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 14492264, pred 3 meseciFunctionality is good, but it freezes or really slow down the Firefox. On mobile it's unusable, on desktop it ruins the performance. Even on sites with disabled filter.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Nocturne, pred 4 meseciI still remember how great it was when it could actually auto-detect site theme without relying on OS theme...
And there are STILL bug when if you switch auto -> on -> auto that it'll discard saved options and will default to "OS theme" even tho it's not even checked - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 15848924, pred 4 mesecillevaba usando esta extensión años.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— danger89, pred 4 meseciI like the addon very much, but the webpages are slowed down by a factor 2 or 3! So no thanks.. It's just too slow.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 13646205, pred 4 meseciEvery time there is a firefox update I have to remove dark reader and install it all over again on my several firefox installs. Very annoying.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 15222006, pred 5 meseciNot great. Just inverting colors which makes images appear inverted as well. Was hoping this was a true dark mode.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— me, pred 5 meseciwas great. now breaking lots of pages- wikipedia, and links open in new tabs.
linux based firefox 120 64bit
why don't all websites offer dark mode? - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Hassan TR, pred 5 meseci
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— ChefExperte, pred 5 meseciWhile it works on some pages, it breaks many pages for no reason. Some buttons cannot be clicked anymore, some text blocks disappear, ui elements get moved around and other problems. On the most recent Firefox version some tabs just constantly crash. Nice idea for a plugin, but it does not work...

- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— HaricotsDeLiam, pred 7 meseciAutomation is broken when used on Firefox for macOS. When the extension is set to follow the system dark theme and macOS is set to "Auto" instead of "Light" or "Dark", Dark Reader mistakenly thinks the system is set to "Light" no matter what time of day it is.
Downloading any of the past 25 older versions of the extension doesn't resolve the problem.
The Chrome version of this extension has no such issues. - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 18029466, pred 8 meseci
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 17998462, pred 9 meseciLately it interferes with too many websites. So many sites, especially for news, use the "read more" button to see beyond the first paragraph or so, but I can't click it. I have to disable this addon before it works. I wish dark mode were more of the default across the web because it's so much better for your eyes.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Chris Grimmett, pred 9 meseciDark Reader has one of the most confusing user interfaces I have used. It is completely unfamiliar to any other software I use on a regular basis. I can't tell if any of the settings are in the on/off enabled/disabled state due to ambiguous design. For example, a button shows either x or ✓. Does x on the button mean I'm switching to x by clicking or does it mean x is the current state? Another toggle uses a left/right instead of x and ✓. A third type of button uses x and ✓ but it's only on the left side. Then there's the light/dark flat buttons which I fail to differentiate. Does light mean pressed or does dark mean pressed? There is a complete lack of predictability and logic and I can't understand how I'm supposed to use it. I'm looking for an alternative extension.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Alonzo, pred 9 meseciI use Firefox 115 and found out that this extension is the reason for all the problems I've been having with Firefox lately, which are extremely sluggish performance, slow loading of all websites, worst of all Youtube. And Outlook.live.com stopped working at all. After uninstalling "Dark Reader" Firefox is now super fast again and even Outlook and Youtube are working flawlessly. I'm now using "Dark background and light text" which does not cause any problems.
