   Zen Reader is designed to improve the readability of supported webpages. All core reading features operate locally within your browser. We are committed to minimizing data collection and respecting your privacy.

   Zen Reader does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share your personal information, browsing history, reading history, article content, or usage analytics. No user account is required to use the extension.
3. How Zen Reader Works
   When you activate Zen Reader, the extension temporarily accesses the content of the webpage you choose to improve its readability. Processing occurs locally on your device and the webpage content is never transmitted to our servers.
4. Browser Permissions
   Zen Reader requires website access to provide its reader mode functionality. When you activate the extension, it accesses the current webpage to apply features such as Focus Anchors, Reading Ruler, typography customization, reading themes, and Markdown export. All webpage processing occurs locally within your browser, and no webpage content is transmitted to our servers.
5. Local Storage
   Zen Reader may store your preferences, such as selected font, theme, Reading Ruler settings, and other display options, locally within your browser so they can be restored the next time you use the extension. These settings remain on your device unless synchronized through your browser account.
6. Third-Party Services
   Zen Reader does not include advertisements, affiliate link injection, analytics platforms, telemetry, tracking scripts, or third-party data collection services.
7. Data Retention
   Because Zen Reader does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal information retained on our servers. Any locally stored settings remain under your control and can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage.
8. Children's Privacy
   Zen Reader is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
