WebHID Autor: Kazoku

WebHID implements the navigator.hid WebHID API in Firefox, enabling websites to interact with HID hardware (game controllers, stream decks, and other specialized input devices) that Firefox does not natively support.

Features:
- Full W3C-spec-compliant WebHID polyfill, with a WASM-based HID descriptor parser producing collections output matching Chromium's
- High-performance WebSocket + SharedArrayBuffer data plane, with optional fire-and-forget sendReport mode (~3ms avg latency vs ~50ms over Native Messaging)
- Cross-platform HID access via hidapi (Linux, Windows, macOS), with stable device IDs that survive reboots
- Automatic reconnection across 4 layers (Native Messaging host, WebSocket, worker, SAB drain loop) with exponential backoff
- Native hot-plug device monitoring (udev on Linux, RegisterDeviceNotification on Windows, IOHIDManager on macOS)
- Per-site settings via popup (fire-and-forget, SAB toggle, SAB buffer capacity) plus global defaults (including log level)
- Security: FIDO/U2F device blocklist, localhost-only WebSocket, token authentication over the WebSocket subprotocol, toggleable COOP/COEP header injection
