TextTrace brings fast text and regex search to the files on your own computer
no uploads, no cloud, everything stays local.

Pick a folder and TextTrace scans the whole tree (or just the top level), matching your word or regular expression line by line. Matches appear instantly with the matching text highlighted, alongside the file name, type, line number and path.
Export to CSV, JSON, or a HTML report.

Privacy
TextTrace reads only the folder you pick, never modifies your files, and collects or transmits no data whatsoever. It works entirely on your device.
