Short version
SlopProx does not collect any data. All AI detection runs on your machine. Nothing you browse is sent to any server. The only outbound requests are model downloads and update checks, which contain no personal information.

Overview
SlopProx and its companion Chrome extension do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All classification happens on your machine. Nothing you browse is sent to any server.

What the desktop app does
The SlopProx desktop app (Windows) runs a local HTTPS proxy on your machine. It intercepts browser traffic to classify page content for AI-generated text, images, and YouTube disclosures. All processing is done locally using on-device ONNX models. The app does not transmit page content, URLs, or any personal data externally. Counters (text blocked, images blocked, ads blocked) are stored locally in your app data folder and never leave your machine.

What the Chrome extension does
The SlopProx Chrome extension communicates only with the local desktop app (http://127.0.0.1:8083). It sends page text and image URLs to the local classification service for analysis. No data is sent to any external server. Session counters are stored in Chrome's session storage and cleared when the browser closes.

Image classification
When image detection is enabled, the extension sends image URLs to the local desktop app. The app downloads the image to your machine to run classification. Images are not stored after classification. No image data is transmitted to any third party.

Model downloads
On-device AI models are downloaded from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) on first use and cached locally. This download is the only outbound network request made by SlopProx that does not originate from your normal browsing. No personal data is included in these requests.

Automatic updates
The desktop app checks for updates via the GitHub Releases API (github.com). This request includes the current app version and your OS. No other data is transmitted. Updates are only downloaded and installed with your consent.

Logging
The desktop app writes a debug log (debug.log) and crash log (crash.log) to your local app data folder. These files contain anonymised diagnostic information. URLs in log entries are replaced with a short hash — the original URL is not recoverable. Log files are never transmitted anywhere.

No accounts, no tracking, no analytics
SlopProx has no user accounts, no login, and no analytics. No tracking pixels, no telemetry, no crash reporting service. The app does not phone home.

Third-party services
SlopProx does not integrate with any advertising, analytics, or data broker services. The only external network requests are model downloads (Hugging Face) and update checks (GitHub), both described above.

Children
SlopProx does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. There is no data collection of any kind.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date. SlopProx will not begin collecting data without a clear, explicit notice on this page.
