Queue Alert for Salesforce Autor: Salesforce Lightning Refresher (With Sound)

Stop staring at your case queue waiting for the next one to appear.

Case Queue Alert watches your Salesforce Lightning list views and quietly refreshes them at an interval you choose. When a new record shows up, it plays a clean two-tone chime so you can look away, work another tab, or handle a call — and still catch the new case the instant it arrives.

It's built to be unobtrusive and to leave Salesforce exactly as it is.

WHAT IT DOES

• Soft refresh, not a page reload. Instead of reloading the browser tab (which would reset your filters, scroll position, and open console tabs), it clicks Salesforce's own built-in refresh button on the list view. Your page state stays intact.

• Smart new-case detection. It tracks the records already in your list and only alerts when a genuinely new one appears — so a normal refresh doesn't set it off.

• A pleasant, synthesized chime. The alert tone is generated in the browser with the Web Audio API. There are no MP3s or external sound files bundled or downloaded.

• Follows you around Salesforce. Switch queues, open a console tab, or change a list-view filter, and it re-orients to the view you're now looking at.

• Simple controls. A small popup lets you turn auto-refresh on or off, pick a refresh interval (15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes), toggle sound, and preview the chime with a Test Audio button. It shows whether it's active and when it last refreshed. Your settings are saved between sessions.

HOW TO USE IT

1. Open a Salesforce Lightning list view or case queue.
2. Click the toolbar icon to open the popup.
3. Turn on Auto-Refresh, choose an interval, and make sure sound is on.
4. Click once anywhere on the Salesforce page (this lets your browser play audio), then hit Test Audio to preview the chime.

TIP: I've found the best use case to be opening a separate tab to stay on the queue you're wanting notifications about, and work cases out of a second SF tab.

That's it. When a new case appears after a refresh, you'll hear it.

PRIVACY

This add-on does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data. It doesn't read your case contents, log in to anything, or talk to any server. It runs entirely in your browser, and its settings are stored locally on your own machine. See the full privacy note below.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Sound and browser autoplay rules: Browsers only allow sound after you've interacted with a page. Click anywhere on the Salesforce tab once and audio is enabled for that session. If you ever see a new case but hear nothing, a single click on the page fixes it.

• Salesforce is highly customizable. This works with standard Lightning list views and console navigation. A heavily customized org, or a view without a standard refresh button, may behave differently.
