EnteBlock — block ads where they're actually a problem
Most ad blockers work the same way: block everything, everywhere, by default. That's thorough, but it also strips ad revenue from small, well-behaved publishers who run a few unobtrusive ads to stay online — right alongside the sites that bury every article under twenty pop-ups.
EnteBlock flips the default: ads are allowed everywhere, until you decide otherwise.
How it works:
Click the EnteBlock icon on any page.
Choose "Block ads on this website."
That domain is remembered — ads stay blocked there on every future visit.
Every other site you visit is left untouched.
Why that's different:
You decide which sites lose ad revenue — not a filter-list maintainer blocking every ad on every domain by default.
Rewards sites that get it right. A blog or news outlet running light, reasonable ads isn't penalized just for existing in the same category as ad-heavy sites.
No configuration. No filter subscriptions, no whitelist syntax — a single button per site.
A blocklist manager page shows every domain you've enabled it on, with one-click removal if a site cleans up its act or you change your mind.
Everything stays local. Your blocklist lives in the browser's local storage — nothing is uploaded, tracked, or sent anywhere.
Same core mechanism as established ad blockers — network-request blocking plus cosmetic element-hiding — just scoped to the sites you choose instead of applied globally.
