Double-click Dictionary processes the selected word and nearby webpage text locally. When automatic
language selection is enabled, it reads the nearest HTML language declaration or uses Firefox's
built-in language detector on up to 1,000 characters of nearby text. Language detection happens
locally.

For a lookup, the extension requests a static dictionary data shard from:
https://doubleclick-dictionary-data.evilwaveforms.workers.dev/v2

The request does not include the selected word, page URL, or surrounding page content. Cloudflare,
which hosts this data, can receive the requested shard URL, your IP address, and standard HTTP
request metadata. This information is processed under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy:
https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

The extension does not use analytics, advertising, user accounts, tracking, or application-level
request logging. It does not persist lookup history. Theme and language preferences are stored
locally in Firefox. Up to 128 lookup results are cached temporarily in memory and discarded when the
extension process ends.

The optional Wiktionary link opens a direct visit to Wikimedia and is subject to the Wikimedia
