feedback: kindly see if darkreader can have in future text selection background color editing

rate: a must have daily browsing tool for dark mode users

The best dark mode add-on there is and nothing else comes close, visually it's brilliant! it dynamically and intelligently changes any page to look great depending on the different sites. I haven't seen one site that looks bad with it. The only problem is the performance hit on certain sites where it causes some slow downs, But it's so good that I don't really mind it that much.

Àss vezes deixa o Firefox lento, ou trava. O próprio Firefox avisa para parar a extensão.

I don't know what to say about this one anymore... It used to be one of the few extension that was the must have core trifecta but it seems to mess up a lot of pages these days. I find on a lot of pages that I have to toggle the dynamic filter off and then on again in order to work correctly which is getting really annoying - Aliexpress being a prime example but also my router settings page and a few others.

I don't understand why it needs to be changed away from that setting and then back to work properly but it has been like that for so long now I think I am going to try another extension like this instead. There are also examples of having it set to something else like Filter+ for a specific page yet having to toggle that on almost every time as it breaks pages on auto load but cycling it to another filter and back makes it work again, like dynamic. That seems to be the central issue with this plugin, the actual modes work fine but for some reason they need to be toggled off, or away from, and then back in order to get the non-broken effect from it which is quite a hassle when I just want to browse the web without blinding myself. I guess I will try some other ones and see if I can replace this with one that actually works all the time like Dark Reader used to. If I find something better I'll update this review with what it is. Also, if the dev(s) is/are reading this, I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and nothing helps plus the same issues are on multiple PCs so it isn't a my PC thing but rather the behaviour of the plugin itself.

I hope that the dev(s) can fix it someday but it has been wonky for years now so I doubt it. Well, off I go to other extensions in the hopes of not blinding myself when surfing the web but also not being consistently annoyed with having to manually interact with the extension just to get it to work as it should.

This extension hijacks searches to include their referral tag to steal rep and/or money for themselves. When directly going to www.google.com and running a manual search in the search bar, this addon hijacks the search to include its referral tag, making Google think this app initiated the search. This is similar to how Honey steals money via referral codes. Go to Google, run a search, then disable the addon and do the same thing. Compare the URL bar.

Recently slowing down all pages on mozilla firefox and several other pages. If developers can fix this, this is the best extension. Please fix this "slowing down firefox" problem.

dark reader recently started really slowing down web pages like reddit. a shame because the contrast toggle is really useful

Nifty extension that does what it says and used to be really useful, it helps reduce eyestrain by giving me a dark mode on websites that don't have it. I used to leave it on all the time. But lately (past 2 months or so) it's been slowing down firefox and I have to disable it for the page to load properly. Really hope the issue gets fixed soon - if yes, 5 stars!

Used this extension for many years and loved it. I had to remove it recently as it was severely slowing down my web pages. sad

by far the most polished dark mode addon, for most people this is the one you want to use. unfortunately for mobile users who prefer to browse x.com (formerly twitter) with adblock instead of through the android x app, this extension will slow your phone to a crawl after a few hours of browsing, forcing you to clear data and quit firefox. long story short: this is a great extension, but it's not updated regularly enough for anyone to consider donating, it's clearly abandonded. check out "Dark Background and Light Text" by Mikhail Khvoinitsky for an alternative darkmode extension on Firefox

It breaks too often and when it does it locks up your browser for an extended period of time.

It struggles on far too many websites and ultimately slows down the majority of website load times. Things once blinked to load and this extension makes them hang.

Sad because it use to work a whole lot better, but I find myself disabling it more and more to the point Im wondering why I even keep it. I also think this is the cause for locking up the entire browser every once in a great while.

daha iyi bir alternatifi olmasını dilerdim

If this isnt updated to run with reddit I'm going somewhere else. This month this addon has been crashing my browser.

Works on most sites, though there's currently a memory leak issue when using it on Reddit. Memory usage climbs to 6GB+ for a single tab. I'll update my rating if it's ever fixed.

Slows down reddit to the point that it becomes completely unstable and cant load new content

Really solid extension. Clean and lightweight, fits perfectly into my workflow. Does exactly what it promises.
