<p>CredenShare is a toolbar add-on for sending a password, an API key or a config file as an encrypted link, instead of putting it in a chat message that lives forever.</p>

<p>What you type into a share's fields is encrypted inside your own browser before it goes anywhere. The key travels in the part of the link after the hash mark, which browsers never send to a server, so what reaches us is encrypted data we hold no key to open.</p>

<p>A few things around a share are stored in the clear, because the service needs them to do its job. The title and description you give it are, so the share stays findable in your own list. So are the message a recipient sees before a protected view, and any address allowlist you set. Put the secret in the fields, not in the title or the description.</p>

<b>Creating a share</b>

<p>Open the popup, type what you are sending, and press Create. The link is on your clipboard before you have finished reading the confirmation.</p>

<p>A new share starts with a 24-hour expiry rather than none, and you can shorten it, lengthen it or turn it off. Your plan decides what else you can put in front of it. You may be able to cap how many times the link opens, ask for a passcode before it will unlock, or require the recipient to sign in first; the popup shows which of those your plan includes.</p>

<p>On a team plan you can pick the workspace before you send, and the share belongs to the team rather than to you.</p>

<b>Pasting code</b>

<p>Switch to Paste for a proper editor. It numbers the lines, highlights syntax for 46 languages, and lets the Tab key indent instead of jumping to the next control. Encryption and expiry work exactly as they do for a share.</p>

<b>The developer tools</b>

<p>The popup also carries fifteen small utilities you would otherwise keep a browser tab open for. Some convert text and data between the formats you run into in a terminal or a log file. Others open up a token so you can read what is actually inside it, or generate a credential and tell you how strong it is.</p>

<p>All fifteen run on your own machine. They make no network request and need no account, which is the point when the token you are pasting in is a real one rather than a sample. Pin the ones you reach for most, and each remembers how you last set it up.</p>

<b>What it does not do</b>

<p>The add-on collects nothing about you. There is no analytics and no telemetry of any kind. It talks to one CredenShare address and nowhere else, and it cannot read your browsing history, your tabs, or any other website.</p>

<p>Creating a share needs a CredenShare account. The fifteen developer tools do not, and work signed out.</p>
