O tomto rozšírení
See an interesting chess position in a video, stream, broadcast or webpage? Chess Capture lets you send it to Lichess Analysis without rebuilding the board by hand.
- Pause the video and press Alt+Shift+A to find a board automatically, or Alt+Shift+C to crop it manually. These are defaults: change either shortcut through Firefox’s native extension shortcut settings.
- Recognition runs locally using a bundled model. Screenshots are not uploaded for recognition.
- If automatic finding is uncertain, choose a candidate or crop the board yourself. Release the mouse after drawing your crop to recognize it.
- Review the detected board, correct pieces, and check its orientation before opening analysis.
- Supported, high-confidence last-move highlighting can suggest whose turn it is. Castling rights are suggested from king and rook placement, not proven move history. Both remain editable.
- En-passant candidates are one click away; a target is selected automatically only when sufficiently clear last-move evidence supports it.
- Click Analyze on Lichess to send your reviewed chess position, encoded as FEN in the address, to a new Lichess Analysis tab.
Unusual graphics, heavy occlusion and poor video quality may require manual cropping or corrections. Recognition and highlight inference are estimates, so check the result. Not every board theme is supported.
No account or paid service is required. Chess Capture is an independent project and is not affiliated with Chess.com or Lichess.
