HOW THE EXTENSION WORKS:
1. When you visit a website, the extension checks the domain against a locally stored database bundled with the extension
(1,500,000+ sites).
2. If found, it displays the country flag of the company's headquarters.
3. All lookups happen locally on your device.
DATA STORED LOCALLY (on your device only):
- Website database: Company headquarters locations embedded in the extension
- User preferences: Your settings (warning countries, display preferences)
- Browsing statistics: Optional visit counts by country, stored locally only
None of this data is ever transmitted to any external server.
PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED:
- storage: To save your preferences locally
- alarms: To schedule periodic database update checks
- tabs: To detect the current website's domain for country lookup
- contextMenus: To add AltFlag options to the right-click menu
YOUR RIGHTS:
- Clear all data by uninstalling the extension
- View and modify settings at any time
- All your data remains on your device under your control
