MyShield hardens your browsing with multiple layers of protection — no setup required.
**What it blocks:**
• **Ads & malware domains** — powered by trusted public blocklists (URLhaus, StevenBlack), refreshed automatically every 6 hours
• **Sneaky popups & popunders** — stops windows you didn't ask for, including mousedown-based tricks
• **Tab hijacking** — closes tabs that sites open in the background without your permission
• **Dangerous downloads** — cancels downloads from known-bad domains and risky file types (.exe, .scr, .bat and more) from untrusted sites
• **Insecure connections** — automatically upgrades HTTP to HTTPS
**Strict Mode (per-site):**
Turn it on for ad-heavy streaming sites. It blocks ALL new tabs and cross-site ad redirects — even ones triggered by clicks — and removes invisible click-hijacking overlays, while keeping the video player working.
**Dashboard:**
See live counters of everything blocked, toggle protection on/off, and trust sites you know with one click.
**Privacy first:**
MyShield collects zero data. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts. The only network requests it ever makes are downloading public blocklists. All settings stay on your device.
