Here some feedback about things that could be improved:
1 - Be able to change the "FVD Speed Dial" title to keep it as New Tab or something else for consistency and so its easier to identify the new tab.
2 - Be able to set a timeout for each dial so when it refreshes we can make sure it finishes loading the page correctly (it can be different on some websites where you have to wait for javascripts stuff to finish loading).
3 - Be able to move the groups to the bottom or the sides so they are not close to the bookmark toolbar.
4 - Be able to switch the "Search in Speed Dials" and normal Search bar position, also be able to move them up and/or change their size so it fits better on the screen for those of us that have a small screen or have OCD and want things to be aligned perfectly.
5 - Be able to hide the groups automatically or manually if we only want to use one group.
6 - Have a shortcut like Ctrl+F or something customizable so we can switch to the bar and search fast for something.
7 - Allow bigger/unlimited thumbnail size for big monitors.

The rest of the addon is awesome, one of the best I've tried, keep the good work.

hope have option to hide siteicon(keep text title) , to be more concise . And it feel like refresh one more time after read the icon database. thx!
