Finds more of the list. Since Instagram changed how follower lists are served in September 2026, a single read returns a shuffled part of the list. Followly now reads the list up to twice and combines the results, so an export finds far more people. In our own test on a 752-follower list, one read found 77% and two reads found 94%.

"Thorough export". A new option in the popup reads the list a third time, for when you want as many people as possible and do not mind waiting longer.

Honest totals. When the list is incomplete, the status line now says how much of it was found, for example "Found 707 of 752 (94%) after 2 passes".

Safer pace. The fastest setting is now 3 seconds instead of 2, and each pause is at least the speed you choose, up to 30% longer. Slower exports are less likely to run into Instagram's limits.

Faster "following" exports. Following lists are now read in larger pages, so the same export needs about four times fewer requests.

Instagram still decides what it returns: exports may not include every account, and the order is no longer the order in which people followed.

Icons now come from the extension itself

• The popup and the sign-in page used to fetch their icons from an external service every time they
  opened. They no longer contact anything outside the extension.
• On networks that block that service - some company networks, some regions, strict blockers - the
  buttons appeared without their icons. They now always show.
• Nothing else changed: no new permissions, no new sites, and exporting works exactly as before.

Safer export pace

• Followly now waits 4 seconds between requests to Instagram by default, up from 2 seconds. You can
  choose anything from 2 to 8 seconds in the popup; slower is gentler on your Instagram account.
• Everyone starts on the new default. The previous speed setting has been reset.
• Exports take about twice as long at the default pace.
• Retries after a temporary Instagram error also wait at least the pace you chose.
• Large exports at a slow pace are no longer stopped early for taking too long.

More reliable speed setting

• The popup always shows the pace the export will use.
• If a speed change cannot be saved, the popup tells you instead of exporting at a different pace.

Clearer messages when Instagram interrupts an export.

• If Instagram logs you out, asks you to confirm it is you, or shows a notice during an export,
  Followly now says exactly that and tells you what to do on instagram.com, instead of a generic
  error.
• The export window now explains, before you start, that because of changes on Instagram's side
  exports may not include every follower, can differ from one export to the next, and are no
  longer in the order people followed.
• Whatever was collected before an interruption is still saved, in a file marked "partial".

Exporting followers and following works again.

Instagram changed how it shares these lists, and no tool can get the complete list anymore. Followly now tells you when an export may be missing some profiles, instead of showing 100%.

Also new:
- If Instagram asks you to slow down, Followly stops right away to protect your account.
- If an export stops early, the profiles found so far are saved in a file ending in "-partial".

Fixes exports that failed with "Could not find user ID".

• Restored full follower/following exports. Instagram changed an internal endpoint; Followly now uses a method that returns every entry, in a stable order, with no duplicates or skipped accounts.
• CSV files now end with a proper line break, so the last row is no longer dropped by spreadsheets and database imports.
• Cancelling an export now stops it immediately, with no file written.
• The popup explains that profile picture links in the CSV are temporary and stop working after a few days.
• Default export speed is now the slow setting, which is gentler on your account.
