🔒 Privacy Policy for Quick URL Shortener Extension (v1.0)

This Privacy Policy explains what data is transmitted by the "Quick URL Shortener" WebExtension and how that data is used and handled by the external API.

1. Data Collection and Transmission

The Add-on itself does not collect or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII). However, to function, the extension transmits the following data to our external API service, hosted via Cloudflare Workers (s.berkk.cloud):

Active Tab URL ✅ Required to create the shortened link. Stored (Key-Value) for 7 days (TTL).
Custom Slug (Optional) User-defined key used for the shortened URL. Stored (Key-Value) for 7 days (TTL).
Request Metadata (Implicitly by Server) User's IP Address and User-Agent (browser type) are temporarily logged by the Cloudflare service for security and anti-abuse measures. Transient (Cloudflare Logs).

1. Data Usage and Storage
   
   Service Provider: Data is processed and stored by a custom API service built on Cloudflare Workers and Key-Value (KV) Storage.
   
   Purpose: The sole purpose of collecting the Active Tab URL is to generate a corresponding short key and enable redirection.
   
   Data Retention: All shortened links (Long URL, Short Key) are automatically deleted from the Key-Value store after 7 days (TTL).
   
   No PII Storage: We do not track users, maintain user accounts, or permanently store IP addresses linked to specific short keys.
2. Third-Party Services

This extension relies exclusively on the s.berkk.cloud API, which utilizes Cloudflare infrastructure for delivery and security. Data is not shared with any third-party advertising or analytics services.
