Privacy Policy for FitCheck Effective date: 2026-05-08 FitCheck is a browser extension that helps users compare body measurements with clothing size charts on product pages.

Information processed FitCheck may process:
User-entered measurements (for example: chest, waist, hips, inseam, shoulder, neck, height).
Page content needed to detect and parse size charts on the page a user is viewing.
Basic extension settings (for example: theme preference).
How information is used
To generate size recommendations from page size-chart data and user measurements.
To preserve user convenience settings and saved measurement entries.
Storage and retention
Measurements and settings are stored locally in browser extension storage on the user’s device.
Data remains local until changed or deleted by the user, extension data is cleared, or the extension is uninstalled.
Data sharing and selling
FitCheck does not sell personal data.
FitCheck does not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
In this release, recommendation logic is local-first and does not require a registered background service worker for analysis flow.
Permissions and access
FitCheck requests browser permissions needed to:
store user measurements and preferences,
access the active page for user-requested fit checks,
read page content to locate size charts.
Access is limited to functionality required for extension features.
User controls Users can:
edit or remove measurements in the extension UI,
disable or uninstall the extension at any time,
clear extension data through browser controls.
Security FitCheck follows data minimization for stored data and limits storage to values required to provide extension functionality.
Children’s privacy FitCheck is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
