Causes massive performance issues with dynamic content Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I re-added this add-on after it was removed from the blacklist. I don't know if it's because of an interaction between it and another add-on or what, but having WOT enabled caused massive lag when trying to browse pages with any kind of dynamic content. It also tended to destabilize Firefox at much lower RAM utilizations than normal--so much that I was having to manually trigger browser restarts to clean up memory.
I disabled WOT and Firefox is back to performing well again, and not needing frequent restarts. The service that WOT provides isn't bad, at least with the real-time protection turned off, so they don't siphon your browsing habits, but it's not worth the performance degradation and memory leaks.

I used to use WOT but they began censoring excellent sites that were trustworthy & always selected certain types of sites with incorrect info.
Is WOT out of the blacklist? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Firefox and Chrome had blacklisted the WOT addon for privacy reasons. I was using WOT from many years before Firefox blacklisted this addon. Has this plugin come clean now?
I need help whether or not to use WOT again?

I'm pretty deceived by this app, fly away if you care about your privacy.
It's a shame such thing is allowed on the addon store.
Can WOT be trusted again? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I'm a long-time WOT user, WOT has protected me from many phishing sites, but after the shenanigans of selling personal identifiable user data to 3rd parties, I was hurt by this betrayal of trust, how can WOT be trusted again?
Can someone explain this to me?

Can't really browse without it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Previous privacy concerns notwithstanding, this is a must-have for me: it's so valuable to quickly to get an indication of how trustworthy a site is.

Welcome back! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm glad to see the old doughnut back in action. WOT is not perfect, but it is really pretty good at evaluating sites BEFORE you click-on. The question of selling info is pretty moot, now that our Congress has passed a law permitting ANY site to hawk your goods. I see a few old-timers hanging around the cracker barrel, pounding their canes on the floor, and uttering their dark warnings. Always with us, aren't they? WOT rules!
