Privacy Policy — Task Catcher

Task Catcher keeps your data on your own device and under your control. The
extension has no server of its own, and its developer does not receive, store,
or have access to any of your data.

What is stored

Stored locally in your browser (storage.local) and never sent anywhere except
as described below:
- Your task list (titles, details, status, follow-ups)
- Your settings, including the API key you enter for your chosen LLM provider
- A small flag for whether the overlay is open or collapsed

What is transmitted, and to whom

Data is transmitted only when you click "Extract tasks" or "Update with AI".
When you do, the text you pasted (which may include personal communications
such as chat transcripts) and your API key are sent directly from your browser
to the LLM provider you selected and configured:
- Groq — https://groq.com/privacy-policy/
- Google Gemini — https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms
The request goes straight to that provider over HTTPS and does not pass through
any server operated by this extension or its developer. You choose what text to
paste, so you control exactly what is sent.

What the extension does NOT do

• It does not read, monitor, or collect the content of pages you visit
• It does not track browsing activity or build any profile
• It does not send any data to the extension's developer
• It contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers
