Stream Reviver helps recover live HTML5 video streams when playback stalls or fails. Enable it only on the sites you choose, and it watches for sustained failure before attempting a recovery.

Features
• Detects stalled playback, media errors, and live-edge drift using multiple playback signals.
• Tries gentle recovery actions first and verifies that playback stays healthy.
• Uses a cancelable countdown before an automatic page refresh, with retry limits to prevent reload loops.
• Restores fullscreen after an automatic refresh by default. Turn this off globally or for individual sites in Settings. When Firefox requires a click for native fullscreen, a reversible viewport-filling layout or click prompt is used.
• Protects manual pauses, intentional DVR rewind, offline periods, and other situations where automatic recovery would be disruptive.
• Includes per-site settings, snooze controls, local diagnostics, and a dashboard for enabled sites.

Getting started
1. Install Stream Reviver and acknowledge the first-run information.
2. Open a stream and choose Monitor this site from the extension popup.
3. Approve access for that site. You can disable monitoring or remove site access at any time.

Privacy
There are no analytics, ads, tracking, remote code, or extension-operated external API calls. Per-site settings and diagnostics stay in your browser. Compact global preferences may sync through your browser account. Optional visual monitoring requires separate consent and processes a small player comparison locally; screenshots are not stored or transmitted.

Compatibility and limits
Designed for Firefox desktop and HTML5 video. Recovery depends on the website and player. Native fullscreen may require a user gesture. Stream Reviver does not bypass DRM, authentication, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, or other access controls.
