Great extension, but unfortunately there is a big delay in the loading time of the pages, which frustrates me. Another thing that ends up not being productive is the delivery of answers: Google offers quick responses without having to go into the site but Startpage does not offer this feature.

It's nice to have such a nice little tracker-blocker.
The only thing that confuses me a little bit is that if I press three times Esc it blurs the page for a few seconds and when I press Esc a fourth time it closes the current tab and opens a new one with startpage.com

Startpage Privacy Protection is obviously based on EFF's Privacy Badger and does an okay job, although it's not as mighty as uBlock Origin, for example.

Though, what I find really irritating is that the addon apparently injects additional HTML elements into all websites for unknown reason; I suspect it's for analytics on startpage.com.

Since that can't be disabled in the settings, I don't use the addon anymore.

This addon states it doesn't use any keyboard shortcuts. However, as long as it is activated, pressing the Escape button three times will blur my current tab and pressing Escape four times will close the current tab and open a new one to startpage.com. This has broken all my trust in startpage's legitimacy, I'll both uninstall this addon as well as change my start page.
/edit in response to the dev: "up front"? I searched for that "feature" back then, but nobody seemed to know anything about it. After your reply, I searched both the addon's mozilla page as well as your homepage for ANY trace of it. Well, yes, you do mention it in one dedicated article (not on the addon's page, not in the features list, nowhere but this article) that I only saw after asking Google about it. Yes, Google.
Also, why is it not possible to delete this "feature"? Can't be too hard to code that in, can it?

Best search browser with privacy protection. DuckDuckGo is biased, so I switched to Startpage and like it a lot. The developer of this app deserves donations! Where can I send a donation?

Good and extremely worthwhile if you adopt Startpage as your search engine of choice like I have.
The (although limited) tracker blocking is nice, and the page score lets you know what site tries to screw with you, still like it to pair it with Ublock, as that will block what trackers slip away from this.
The standard eye grating light theme search page that it tries to force upon you is the only detracting point of this extension, so I had to install the 3rd party Startpage Search — Dark Theme extension to get the best optimal experience.

This extension is really good, but one feature request. Can you set it so that the search bar uses post instead of get? I typically use the firefox search bar to search for things, so even if the engine tries to use post within itself, the browser's search bar still uses get searches instead of post.

Absolutley love this extension. It's so clear what it's doing and how to enable and disable certain options. There is no setback when surfing it's only adding pretection and info about your websites.

Been a long-time user of Startpage for a long time now, and this extension is awesome! Gives a "privacy score" and keeps reminding me why I use Startpage.

This extension is awesome, been using it for a few days now and have blocked hundreds of cookies and trackers, but the Startpage search is the best part as it protects all of my searches

This add-on is very useful to have an anonymous web browsing.
Firefox itself is an anonymous browser, but with this add-on the tracking blocking is perfect!
